DIY White Kitchen Reveal | How a blogger transformed her kitchen cabinets from dark and dated to bright, clean, and modern using a paint sprayer!

I can’t believe the day is finally here that I get to share our DIY White Kitchen Reveal! What a Happy Valentine’s Day this is! :) All of the months of effort have finally paid off!
This kitchen involved late nights, early mornings, countless trips to various hardware stores, and even a few tears. We truly did this on a budget. By saving on big ticket items- i.e. painting the cabinets and keeping the countertops- we were able to get our dream kitchen for hundreds instead of thousands. This left room in our budget for the new appliances and materials to build an island, neither of which were part of the original plan!

AMAZING Cork Board Makeover! Only cost $12!

It never fails that whenever I go in to JoAnn Fabric to buy fabric for a project one of the nice ladies asks me, “Oh, whatcha makin’?”  95% of the time I say that I’m making a pillow.  It’s just easier to say that I’m making a pillow rather than going into detail about how I actually intend on using the fabric.  So I’m probably known as “the chick who only knows how to sew pillows” at my local JoAnn Fabric.  This project is a “pillow”.

DIY burp cloths! Perfect handmade gift and easy to sew!

Everyone loves a handmade gift, especially when the gift is for a cute baby.  So when my blog friend Kim from Newly Woodwards announced that she was preggers I knew I had to make her some DIY baby onesies and burp cloths.  I made her baby boy two pug onesies– one onesie to represent each of her two pugs, Franco and Lola.
I chose the houndstooth fabric to go with the beautiful houndstooth quilt Kim made for her little man.  I went with the striped fabric because I thought it was perfect for a little boy.

Build a gorgeous kitchen island with this free Ana White

My sister needed a kitchen island, giving me a great Christmas gift idea, and an excuse to tackle another Ana White woodworking plan.  I used Ana’s Easy Kitchen Island plan, adjusting the dimensions to fit in Amber’s kitchen.  Instead of 54 inches wide, we made our version 36 inches.  This was a quick and easy build.  I have some tips to share that  I wish I had known before this build, but we learn by making mistakes, right?!
